Getting Ready for Digital Product Passports and Agentic Commerce: What Your Data Must Deliver

There are many reasons to invest in structured, high quality product data that can be trusted. If it is standardised and machine readable it can be consumed by others and it is even better. Regulators in Europe are expanding the scope of Digital Product Passports from sustainable requirements to many other areas, both product category specific and horizontal. This is also happening outside Europe, like in the Asia Pacific region and the Americas. At the same time agentic commerce is gaining momentum. But AI agents are only as good as the data they get access to, so they also rely on access to structured, trustable product data and which preferably is standardized.
