Getting Ready for Digital Product Passports and Agentic Commerce: What Your Data Must Deliver

There are many reasons to invest in structured, high quality product data that can be trusted. If it is standardised and machine readable it can be consumed by others and it is even better. Regulators in Europe are expanding the scope of Digital Product Passports from sustainable requirements to many other areas, both product category specific and horizontal. This is also happening outside Europe, like in the Asia Pacific region and the Americas. At the same time agentic commerce is gaining momentum. But AI agents are only as good as the data they get access to, so they also rely on access to structured, trustable product data and which preferably is standardized.

This seminar focus on how verifiable data can meet multiple requirements at once!

Rethinking Retail: Scaling Circular Fashion with Trusted Data

The future of commerce is circular, and reliable data is a key enabler. In the ReValue project, GS1 Sweden collaborates with partners and fashion brands to explore how digital product passports can enable scalable circular business models. In this session, together with Bencha and APLACE – both active contributors to the ReValue project – we share concrete insights into how standardized product information builds trust, increases efficiency, and creates new business opportunities in the secondary market. We also highlight why digital product passports are rapidly becoming a decisive factor for the future of circular commerce.
